Social Responsibility and Community Upliftment

VRS is committed to being a responsible and contributing entity in the extended Southern Africa region.

Our vision of adding value, both to our clients and stakeholders and to the communities within which we operate, is driven by our passion to provide service excellence to customers. VRS is mindful that our success is supported by the health and growth of the communities in which we operate and with whom we partner and interact.

The success and well-being of our business means that we are able to make a significant contribution to the African economy, not only through the employment of local people, but by getting involved in sustainable community-based projects. We acknowledge that our social responsibility is greater than a mere handing over a cheque to a charitable organisation, which is why we are dedicated to investing our energy, skills, time and money into projects that we can actively participate in and nurture over time.

VRS is a member of the Univision Group of Companies.

The foundation of the Univision Board’s belief is that we honour God in all that we do ensuring that the Group is managed and led according to Christian principles; founded on trust, faith, humbleness and obedience. The Goal of the Univision Group is to build a children’s home at the African Blessings farm – Rustfontein – in the Bronkhorstspruit district.

The name of the home is Jochebed Children’s Village and following on the acquisition of the land in 2006 and the approval of the architect’s plans in May 2009, the Goal is progressively being realised. This will be the start of our legacy for God, the start of our commitment to our principles and the love we have for one another. Construction started in January 2010 and the official Foundation laying ceremony was held in May 2010.

Thank you for sharing Our Vision, and being a part of inspiring its realisation.
