| CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY |
VRS is committed to being a responsible and contributing citizen of South Africa and the greater African community.
In line with our vision of adding value, both to our clients and stakeholders and to the communities within which we operate, VRS seeks to provide service excellence to customers, while at the same time fulfilling its responsibility as a corporate citizen to help realise a sustainable society.
We understand that our success is supported by the health and growth of the communities with whom we are associated.
The success and well-being of our business means that we are able to make a significant contribution to the African economy, not only through the employment of local people, but by getting involved in sustainable community-based projects. We know that social responsibility is more than handing over a charity cheque, which is why we are dedicated to investing our energy, skills, time and money in a project that we can actively participate in and see develop and flourish over time.
VRS is a member of the Univision Group of Companies. The foundation stone of the Univision Board of Directors is that we honour God in all that we do.The Group is managed and led on Christian principles, founded on trust, faith, humbleness and obedience. The Vision of the Univision Group is to build a children’s home at the African Blessings farm –Rustfontein – in the Bronkhorstspruit district. The name of the home is Jochebed Children’s Village and following on the acquisition of the land in 2006 and the approval of the architect’s plans in May 2009, the vision is well underway. This will be the start of our legacy for God, the start of our commitment to our principles and the love we have for one another.Construction started in January 2010 and the official Foundation Laying Ceremony was held in May 2010. It is extremely rewarding to see the dream literally coming to life before our eyes and our Faith has been rewarded every step of the way.
Thank you for sharing Our Vision, we will keep you informed as to the progress of the project ongoing.
